Joined the company in 1976 and held a number of financial and operating positions between 1976 and 1982. In 1982, appointed executive vice president of Missouri Public Service, Aquila's founding company. Became the company's chief executive officer in 1985 and chairman of the board in 1989. Previously an associate director at Standard & Poor's in the gas and electric utilities ratings group before joining Aquila in 1997 with responsibility for major, complex acquisitions. Prior finance positions at the Maine Public Service Commission and the Illinois Public Service Commission. B.S. finance and M.B.A. from Western Illinois University.
