Failure to adhere to these laws could lead to catastrophe. Just nicking a buried line can cause major injury, damage to the environment and widespread utility service interruption. Substantial fines, litigation and other expenses can also result.
Remember, even a small gouge, scratch, scrape, dent or crease to a line, a pipe or its coating may cause damage - or disaster.
